Parents: Cadence (Mother), Shining Armor (Father)
Sibling(s): Twilight Moon Beam
- First born and only daughter of Princess Mi Amor Cadenza and Prince Shining Armor, heir to the Crystal Empire. Suffice to say, she's a nervous wreck half the time. She's had expectations, by herself and everyone around her, and she's intent on living up to those expectations. It's… not going well.
- Hates wearing her royal jewelery, but feels she needs to keep up appearances as the heir to the empire. Plus, her little sibling, Moony is hardly able to appear in public due to their health, so she needs to be the one the empire looks to for guidance.
- She feels unnerved in the presence of the Crystal Heart, almost like it hates her. Of course, she's heard the story of her crystaling countless times, so it isn't much a surprise to her. But as the heir to the empire, she worries that this disconnection to the heart will be her undoing.
- She's only briefly meet Luster Dawn, and goodness was that an awakening for the pink princess. Unfortunately, dating really isn't in her radar. Still though, she wishes they could be something.
Name: Twilight Moon Beam
Parents: Cadence (Mother), Shining Armor (Father)
Sibling(s): Flurry Heart
- The second born heir of the Crystal Empire, but born sickly and frail. Moon Beam is a fabled 'crystal-eyed pony,' a subspecies of crystal ponies that was believed to be a complete myth. Apprently not, according to Moonie. This fuels the rumor that Princess Cadence is a direct descendent of the now long dead royalty of the empire.
- Moonie constantly feels like they're missing out on everything in the empire due to their illness. Everytime they leave their room, they have to be escorted by someone, normally the palace guards, and they can never go too far, both on their parents orders and their illness. Just once they'd like to go beyond the empire, just to see the world.
- They feel guilty for all the stress put on their sister. Maybe if they could take on some of her resposibilities, she could relax every once in a while, but nope. Stuck in bed all day.
- Moon Beam does have good days, in which they're usually allowed to go on a carriage ride around the city. Those days are their favorites, and they always cherish the little moments outside of the palace walls. If only they could convince their parents to visit their Aunt Twilight in Ponyville…
