- Squirrel was born without her spots. For the first few months of her life she had very light, cream-colored fur. Then symmetrical brown patches began to pop up on her body after about a year.

- She's extremely short, shorter than Pinkie herself. This is not common in earth ponies, who are usually tall and muscular.

- Squirrel has been described as overwhelming to be around, "sensory overload" as a pony. She's just cheerful, optimistic, and outgoing, but most ponies find it too exhausting to even hold a conversation with her because her energy never fades. She's very aware of this, and deep down it really hurts, because she can't help it. All she ever tries to do is be a good friend, but no one seems to stick around.

- Out of everyone in the family she's closest to her aunt Maud, who just really seems to get her.

- Despite her outgoing nature, and her parents' reputation, Squirrel's not a great party planner. Her talent really shines when she's baking, and her recipes are sought after throughout the world. One day she plans to compile her favorite dishes into her own recipe book.
