Professor Calamus isn't incredibly well-versed in the science of cursed magical artifacts, but he figured trying to force it off the chief wouldn't be the wisest idea. He begrudgingly tries to convince Atani to remove the artifact using reason and logic while Starshine fends off the guards coming to take them.
