Recently a nearby discount store suddenly had black porcellain plates in their product line and I took the chance to get some for further use.
It has been a long time since I last paid my respect to the villainy that makes up for many good stories in the MLP universe so I decided to paint the first of the black plates with Nightmare Moon.
Painting on dark porcellain always requires some white grounding which makes up for some nice looking work in progress steps. There is a little animation of the work progress for the plate.
