drew another ship I adore I̶ ̶s̶w̶e̶a̶r̶ ̶I̶'̶l̶l̶ ̶a̶c̶t̶u̶a̶l̶l̶y̶ ̶d̶r̶a̶w̶ ̶m̶y̶ ̶n̶e̶x̶t̶g̶e̶n̶s̶ ̶a̶g̶a̶i̶n̶ ̶s̶o̶m̶e̶d̶a̶y̶, I don't talk about it a lot but scootamar is actually one of my all time biggest otps. they're so fucking perfect?? for no reason??

in the hollowverse, scootaloo and terramar live on mount aris, because of course they do are you kidding. scootaloo was hesitant to make such a big move at first, but she loved it there so much it didn't stick long. she still gets homesick every now and then, so they visit their friends in ponyville often (especially once wave ripple is born). also, fun fact, wave ripple was 100% unplanned. not all different species in equestria can interbreed without magical intervention, but ponies and hippogriffs just so happen to be a pair of species that can interbreed! which scootaloo and terramar definitely did not know. whoops! oh well, they love their little wavey baby~

terramar works as a sort of treasure hunter?? shipwreck explorer?? thing. he goes out with teams of other sea creatures and explores shipwrecks and similar sites, searching for anything of value. scootaloo works as a swim coach for kids, though she would like to work as a coach for a competitive team some day.

in the hippogriff headcanon department, you might have noticed that weird rock on terramar's chest, aaaand yeah. that's my equivalent of the movie's "pearl". hippogriffs are able to naturally transform between their land and sea forms using a magical "pearl" core on their chest (you may note this has some similarities to the sirens' gem magic cores, and that's no mistake, sirens and hippogriffs have a common ancestor). magical items (like the one scoots has on that necklace) that allow other creatures to have a similar transformation are available on the market, though they can get a bit expensive. wave ripple does have a pearl core and is able to transform freely
