Since i headcanon Spitfire to be of Mexican Descent (She is British-Hispanic in my headcanon and Maud Pie is African-American) i imagine that she enjoys a lot of very spicy and hot foods, and they have been part of her diet for so long she's basically become immune to them
Meanwhile with poor Maud, the Pie family isn't one for spicy foods. And since Spitfire's definition of "tame" is probably VERY different to Maud's…
