The Cunabulans are possible the oldest species in existence. Little is known about their culture as they hid themselves from the modern world for thousands of moons; however, murals of the Draconequui and Changelings have been noted in their records. They appear to be a mixture of cultures and species wrapped into one, and are known as the cradle of modern civilization. They pass the elements on to the strongest magic wielders of each generation, but they appear to live for thousands of years. Each Cunabulan possesses at least one magical ability, though Balor possesses at least two as the Element of Magic. The Cunabulans possess the Elements of Patriotism or Order, and forego personal feelings and thoughts to defend their home. They will destroy whatever they must, even the other Elements, if they have to. They act under and unknown Cunabulan King. They used their magic to create and connect the Temples of Harmony, teaching other species how to use their Elements. They were unable to find the Equestrian Elements and build a temple for them because the Draconequui were ruling Equestria at the time. The Draconequui actually sowed the seeds of discontent that caused the Cunabulans to hide the temples and their homeland as the Abyssinians, Caninians, Orinthians, and Farasians turned on them. At the moment, they have been defeated by the combined power of the other Element Sets.
