> Male pony-dragon, 12 years old; a rough-and-tumble colt who isn’t always fully aware of his strength. Energetic and playful. Surprisingly timid around people he doesn’t know. One of the few hybrids of his kind in Equus. Crusading for a cutie mark like his mom, even though half-pony hybrids can’t get one. Can breathe fire, but only for very brief periods of time. Brash and impulsive, often gets in over his head.

> Male unicorn, 14 years old: a sensitive and emotional colt who wears his heart on his sleeve. A selective mute. Very expressive, despite almost never speaking. Often takes harsh words to heart, can be discouraged or upset easily. Has thicker skin with his close friends and family. Feels responsible for his parents’ divorce. Loves music and coming up with his own tunes/songs. Gets very agitated with people who don’t understand music theory. Hates bad singers/musicians.

> Male pony-hippogriff, 13 years old; a young colt fascinated by science, particularly marine biology. Usually easygoing and laidback. Definitely more patient and way less athletic than his mom. Can get very fired up by sufficiently enthusiastic friends. Has low stamina, not the strongest or healthiest; makes up for it with determination. Likes fishing. Loves visiting Ponyville – thinks the town is funny.

> Female terran, 12 years old; a shy filly who usually keeps to herself, especially around strangers and big crowds. Extremely curious and inquisitive. Very talkative once she gets over her nervousness. Fascinated by foreign cultures and histories. Currently making up a fantasy world with lots of detail and history, but lacks skill in good storytelling and art. Also hesitant to show others her world ideas or interest in geeky/nerdy things.

> Female terran, 11 years old; an entitled and stuck-up filly. Wants to be a famous singer like her mom, but only an okay one. Pretty talented in storytelling for a kid, but ignores this possibility in forcing herself to be a singer. Envies her friends’ close relationships with their families. Feels inferior to her half-brother and dislikes him a lot, but secretly looks up to him and does love him deep down.

> Female unicorn, 12 years old; an eccentric aspiring inventor. Loves mechanical engineering and learning about how things work (especially machines). A chūnibyō who likes making secret hideouts. Likes Rube Goldberg machines and overcomplicated designs. Has poor volume control and a tendency to speak too quickly. A bit of a pyromaniac: thinks fires are awesome, prone to accidentally causing minor explosions. A student of Apple Bloom’s.

> Female pony-hippogriff, 7 years old; Riptide’s cute but annoying little sister. Looks up to her brother a lot, constantly trying to follow him everywhere. Has oversized wings – it’s currently unknown if they’ll always be too big for her to properly fly or if she’ll grow into them. Really likes stargazing.
