I love Fluttershy and Discord together but I do feel like his growing relationship with some other characters is downplayed and/or underrated at times.

Discord in S2 was a being who only caused chaos for the lulz and laughed at the suffering of the innocent Twilight of being broken that she can't save her friends and Equestria that he is finna rule over. While he took unscrupulous means to do it, Discord by S9 uses his chaos to be a Trickster Mentor to help his friends grow specifically Twilight and he did all that he did because he genuinely was trying to help Twilight have the confidence to rule Equestria.
