Description:

It was almost midnight, a heavy fog was covering the airfield, and a gust of wind reminded you that you probably should’ve brought a jacket tonight. “Darn it, stupid Aleksei” you uttered to yourself; Aleksei had asked for help in doing some kind of inventory of the equipment in the base, and of course, he thought that you would be one of the best guys to “hire for free” and help him finish that on time, not taking into account that you had to sleep. 5 hours, five stupid hours seeing where the goddamn hell 260 23mm rounds went, and of course, some technician had forgotten them in the truck, like if you can completely forget and fail to notice some two hundred sixty rounds belt for a SPPU-22 gun pod.

Another cold gust of wind made you rethink getting out in night-time as it sent a shiver down your body. Your breath was visible, you had no idea what that meant, but it was cold, and that was all that mattered right now, at least you came closer to getting some needed sleep.

You kept walking down the airfield, passing by some hangars on your side, most of those having one or several different stuff outside as decoration, you could barely remember which plane was inside which hangar, but you had a basic idea that you were in the attack aircraft section, and that probably you passed A-10’s hangar already… what name she had? Blut? Blyat? Cyka Blyat?

As you looked at the hangars, you stopped at the last one in the line of attack aircraft, you silently observed the exterior façade of it, you had no idea who was in this one, but you thought that it didn’t hurt to find out as you proceeded to open the small sized door next to the big-ass plane pony hangar-style door.

The dim light greeted you, a nice change from the almost black with some lampposts exterior, you suddenly realized you forgot your manners entering without knocking and facehooved yourself, then you stopped by and looked around; there wasn’t much, and it made sense, considering that, now that you remember, this hangar was of a new plane pony. There was some huge whiteboard on the wall with certain stuff written on it, a large oil, no, ice cream oil cylindrical tank, or something, didn’t care about what it really was, and a pet bed.

What it did matter to you though, was not the rather insanely huge pet bed, but the one on top of it. A large plane pony, covered with camouflage painting consisting of two shades of green, brown, black and light blue underside, they were rolling around on the large pet bed, which was perfectly large for even three plones her size to fit in there comfortably.

“Hi!” You said out loud, the plane pony stopped squirming around their bed and looked at you. “Oh… hi” She said, mildly surprised, and awkwardly she stood up, one of the pillows still resting on her wing, which she proceeded to put back on the bed. “Do… do you need anything?” She said, stepping out of the bed and looking at your tiny figure (At least compared to herself).

Now that she was standing up, you could actually see her completely, she was… um… agh, oh yeah; she was the Ilyushin Il-102, also known as… Milyy Kotenok, at least, that’s what the other guys have told you. Her aircraft-style tail was hiding between her legs, you could see the twin-barrelled 23mm auto-cannon at the end of it. You couldn’t help but idly think of not angering her or otherwise being stung by that menacing defensive weapon of her. She was also rather… well… extremely fluffy, you wondered if she came from the northern lands to have that amount of fluff.

“Oh, no, not really, just checking you up!” You said happily, as you gently looked at her, “I had never seen you before, so I thought just coming here to meet you” you continued, “How are you?”

“Umm… I’m fine, thanks for asking” she said, looking away, you weren’t a psychologist, but you did know when people weren’t being truthful… hah, something good came from what Aleksei told you! Either way, you raised an eyebrow and looked at her “Are you sure?”, she nodded at you, her right hoof going to hold her left one in a demonstration of her shyness, but then she couldn’t deal with your look and broke up “Uh… I’m just… lonely…. It’s nothing…” she said, looking back at her bed, some tears starting to form on her purple eyes.

“It’s… it’s just that… Um…” she tried to say, but couldn’t figure out a proper sentence, you decided to interrupt her and say “Is okay, don’t worry, can I help you with anything?”

“Uh… c-could… could you sleep with me?” She said, her cheeks tinting with a little blush, you couldn’t help but think of yourself as a sleeping aid teddy bear, but hey, you weren’t going to do anything anyways, other than sleep. You idly thought about it for a few seconds, the plane pony in front of you seemingly squirming on her spot by anxiety. Then you looked back at her and said “Meh, sure, why not, I was going to sleep anyways”

She smiled happily, bouncing a little on her place, “Oh, thank you!” She said excitedly, as she slowly placed her hoof in front of you, the underside looking upwards “Come on, I’ll carry you, I’m quite sure you can’t climb it alone”. You felt slightly offended at the remark, but then you looked at the pet bed, which was slightly taller than you, oh alright, well… she may be right; you’re not a great jumper anyways.

Even though you didn’t really try to climb that impenetrable wall of pet bed she had, you still had some difficulty trying to climb to her hoof, barely managing to getting on the wall and unceremoniously dropping yourself into the underside of the hoof by exhaustion, darn it, you were taught this in the boot camp, how come you can’t do it now?! Stupid lack of sleep! Stupid Aleksei! The plone in front of you giggled as your tired figure flopped down like a sack of potatoes, then she brought her hoof closer towards her face, brushing you with her fluffy muzzle, pressing you a little as she nuzzled you and uttered softly a “Thank you again”.

In a matter of seconds (A fraction of what took you walk from the door towards the position you were recently) she turned down the lights of her hangar, the latter being pleasantly dark yet not completely, as the bulbs were just adjusted to less brightness. She slowly sat at the pet bed, then she laid down, facing upwards, while she gently put you on her chest. You were pretty shocked at the surprisingly soft and fluffy texture, much better than your bed back in the barracks you thought, then suddenly she placed her hoof on top of you, pressing you lightly against her chest, you didn’t notice it earlier because of tiredness, but her hoof was actually quite soft, like a pillow perhaps, and quite fluffy and warm, enough that you forgot it was midnight outside, she giggled and said “Don’t worry, I just thought you would feel cold”.

Afterwards, she put on the blanket on top of herself and she rubbed you a little with her hoof, perhaps some kind of petting, though, considering sizes, petting would go a bit differently in this case. Either way, it felt nice, better than the bed. You couldn’t help but start falling asleep, the rhythm of her heart (Though you were unsure if they had literal hearts) being a relaxing white noise. She looked at you on your little chest-underhoof cave and she smiled. “Good night, little one, I hope you sleep well” she said softly, her voice carrying over her gentleness, then she laid down, the last thing you saw was the plane pony giggling a little while she said to herself “I think I made a new friend in here” as you couldn’t stay no longer awake and fell asleep, the giant hoof pressing you down softly doing nothing to keep you awake.

A drawing I did of one of my favourite aircraft, the Ilyushin Il-102, but ponified! Because plane ponies are cute and I want to make them even cuter! The orange thing on her engines are a lid of sorts, I’ve seen it being placed on aircraft on ground, perhaps so nothing gets in there. The 102 is of the real aircraft, also the camouflage pattern and the light blue underside. The tail is under her legs, and the little thingy sticking out is the Gryazev-Shipunov GSh-23L 23mm twin-barrelled cannon, a remotely controlled tail turret the real aircraft had (But, considering their foes, would’ve not done much against BVR missiles).

As for the background, I made a little ammunition box on the corner, a cylindrical fuel tank that houses chocolate ice cream flavoured fuel (Dude, being planes doesn’t take away enjoying actual food). And a whiteboard with the weapons the real aircraft has (Gryazev-Shipunov GSh-30-2 30mm main gun, the GSh-32L 23mm gun, bombs and rockets), it also says “Commander Potemkin” since she can’t remember the name XD.

The little plane model on the ground is the alternate camouflage selection of the Ilyushin Il-102, I was originally going for that but I decided to go with the “greener” one. The thing on the inferior right corner is the pet bed, which is definitely bigger than shown in picture XD. And that little micro pone in front of the giant pone is you.

Credits to TheOtterPony, who helped me figure out how to do this story, thank you very much m8!

~Kudos if you found out who’s the cute kitty :D, and for anyone actually Russian; apologies, Google Translate FTW XD~
