And then, as demonstrated here, appropriate garb can reduce or eliminate certain social threats. As many a diplomancer can attest, several challenges can be utterly defeated without rolling initiative if approached in the right way, using the right gear. For instance, Pinkie's dress here includes actual candy, possibly enough to give her a sugar high beyond her normal levels.
