Minty is an online influencer who loves to post update all the time on her pony Instagram. Until she got popular enough to star interviewing celebrities, and was well known in cantorlot for her flair. When she set her eyes on getting a one on one interview with THE Twilight Sparkle and heard that she didn't want to be interviewed, it drove her wild. She HAD to get the juicey details on her life. While Twilight wasnt super comfortable with talking to someone about personal stuff on camera to hundreds of ponies.
Minty began buttering up Twilight, sending her gifts, "bumping into her" at all her favorite cafes and such, and just trying to get Twilight on her side. Twilight began to read too much into the situation and began to wonder if the mare always gifting her things and being nice to her, had a crush on her. So one day Twilight bluntly rejects Mintys feelings, which of course confused the mare as to what the flustered alicorn could have meant. Which only led to Minty getting the wrong idea and claiming Twilight didn't want to do the interview because she had feelings for HER and was too shy to accept.
So Minty ask her out on a date, which originally was her way to get Twilight o maybe let her ask some questions even a few if she let Twilight live out a night with the girl of her dreams. On Twilight's end she felt bad rejecting her twice and agreed.
On the date however, Minty started to ask her interview questions in a sly way, but was actually really enjoying hearing Twilight tell stories about herself. Minty started to ask her questions about herself that had nothing to do with her work and even wanted to tell Twilight About herself.
Next thing you know the two are planning for a second date.
