yeah…. this is the plan they're going with for the REAL show coming on Netflix. Apparently, according to Animation Magazine: we'll be getting the first special on May 26th which will lead into the show 4 months later (September 26th). the official title for both is My Little Pony: Make Your Mark, and i personally like it. i think it's a nice callback to G4.
what i DON'T like — aside from that shitty 2D cartoon we'll be getting on YouTube — is that the plan is: the 2D cartoon is gonna be a weekly thing on YouTube, while the REAL show (ya know, the main attraction for this entire generation) is gonna have…. only 8 episodes for its first season. at least, for this year. so they've decided to completely ditch the format of each season having 26 episodes, like Discovery Family used to do…. the stupid 2D cartoon is gonna be getting a lot more focus than the real thing….. looks like even Hasbro doesn't have much faith in this new gen, even if the movie was a huge hit.
