Gunner is a young Griffon from Griffinstone and the grandson of Grandpa Gillan. He's also best friends with Grady and Grace. Gunner appears to be shy, and a bit quiet, but still confident. He is usually hanging around his two best friends. The three are often shown making fun of Gallus, as well as Grandpa Gruff. He's also laughing at them, though not as much as Grace and Grady. He is actually much smarter than he looks and is much more intelligent, gentle, and down-to-earth than his companions. Ironically, Gunner is aware of his fairly cruel behavior towards the grandson-grandfather pair, and though usually self-loving, he does not always enjoy taunting them. In fact, he has a mixed opinion on them. After realising how important Gallus and Grandpa Gruff are to each other, he experiences a change of heart and his view on the two Griffons slightly changes. He also envies their relationship a bit, wishing he and his grandfather were as close as Gallus and Grandpa Gruff are. This shows a softer side to him. Another notable example is that he has more heroic qualities than Grace and Grady, such as being the voice of reason for them and only being slightly surprised by Grandpa Gruff's anger instead of being ultimately frightened like them. He also seems to be the follower, along with Grace, with Grady being the leader of their trio.
