Grandpa Garvey is an old Griffon from Griffinstone and one of the Senior Group's frenemies. He's also the grandfather of Grady and his siblings, and father of his grandkids' father and aunt. He's also best friends with Grandpa Gillan and Grandpa Gino, the grandfathers of Grady's best friends. Grandpa Garvey is mostly shown to be sarcastic and rude. His best friends are Grandpa Gillan and Grandpa Gino, who often act as followers and are usually seen by his side, much like Gunner and Grace do with Grady. Garvey and his friends (sometimes accompanied by their grandkids) all feel bitterly towards Grandpa Gruff and make fun of him and Gallus constantly, for many reasons, including their lack of family, their appearance and their 'softer sides'. They mock them incessantly and do everything they can to get under their skin. They usually refer to them as "Gawk-lose" and "Grandpa Gasbag", something that's later mimicked by their grandkids. However, when realising that Gallus ran off (back when he was a cub) and how important he is to Grandpa Gruff, their view on the two Griffons slightly changes and they start to be a bit more sympathetic towards them. Another Griffon in which Grandpa Garvey openly expresses his feelings is his wife, Grandma Gianna. Garvey thinks of his wife as a dimwitted but lovable spouse. While he knows, she's not the brightest Griffon, he doesn't really mind and isn't angry or aggressive. He just takes it. He declares that even though she can be annoying, she's just too kind to not like and that, even though he doesn't say that a lot, there's no point in him doing anything without her by his side. The two face many problems as an old married couple but nevertheless, they love and care for each other. Grandma Gianna is also one of the few Griffons Garvey expresses his feelings to the most (one of the reasons being that his wife doesn't understand much of his ranting).
