> Queen Celestia Solborn bowed her head as the sun descended beyond the horizon, it's warm light fading and giving way to a chilly abyss. The unicorns crowded her, shivering as the cold air sapped away at their body heat and pressing close to one another although none dared near the Keeper of the Morning Light. Her red-pink eyes darted about aimlessly, starting to narrow into a scowl, although none could see it.
> Her mouth opened to reassure the ponies when a green light fanned across the sky. It waved and twinkled, flying behind the silhouette of a pony as the moon slowly rose behind it. The ponies oohed and aahed, watching the green cyan dance as the silhouette landed. The light of the moon illuminated the mystery pony, revealing the blue and purple mare with a mane of starlight that merged with the night sky, stars filling the abyss. Her feathered bat wings spread behind her, piercing turquoise eyes running over the surrounding ponies, lips pulled into a gentle smile.
> "Fair and fine ponies, I am Luna Stella! Sister of the Radiant Sun, Guardian of the Luminous Night. I was born from this land and called upon by Harmony." The ponies erupted into a cheer, equally as loud as the one Celestia had received. "Together we will watch over you, sister and sister, the sun and moon! As one, as equals! Until the arrival of the Nova!" Luna smiled brightly as she joined her sister's side, the pair waving at passing ambassadors from the other pony cities who had come when word of a winged unicorn had been sent out across the land of Equestria. A wide berth was granted to the pair, flashing smiles and keeping their heads held high.
> Celestia leaned into Luna, a more forceful grin crossing her muzzle. "Was such an entrance necessary? You couldn't have kept it simple, just descended in a ray of light or something?" Luna returned the gesture, slightly bumping her with a wing and voice dropping into a whisper, barely heard over the celebrations around them. "Lighten up a bit, sunbutt. They think we're goddesses, act like it! Bask in the worship for a while before we're shipped off and buried in work." Celestia grumbled, offering the royal family of Canterlot a curtsy bow of the head, them dropping into full bows in return.
> "Hey, I have an idea! You be the serious, all powerful one who smites those who disobey and I'll be the fun loving one!" "Artemis-" "Shush! It's Luna now and I intend on being the most beloved of all ponies!" "… I do not see this ending well…" "You know, your prophetic visions aren't always right! You can change your Fate!" Luna ran off, eager to greet the subjects gathered in Canterlot Castle, showing off lights and auroras in the high ceiling. Celestia stood off to the side, being beckoned by Princess Clover the Clever and a few high unicorns. She nodded, sparing one last glance to Luna.
