Description:

Name: Breakin' Bones (née Sticks n' Stones)
Nickname(s): Sticky (Mudbriar), Stones (Maud), BB (Disco)
Species/Gender: Earth Pony/Male
Mark/Talent: A bone breaking open in a rainbow explosion. His special talent is none of your business, piss off. (It's osteology. Bones thinks it's boring and gets defensive when anyone asks)
Personality: Epitome of "It's not a phase, mom". Sullen, angry and believes that noone understands him.
Important relationships:
Maud Pie (Mom) — They used to be close, but have grown apart as of late. Bones thinks rocks are boring now, which doesn't help.
Mudbriar (Dad) — They also used to be a lot closer, but now Bones finds him mostly embarassing.

Pinkie Pie (Aunt) — Bones won't admit it, but Pinkie always intimidated him a bit. As someone used to adults who's main form of emoting is subexpressions, she's very overwhelming.
Disco Inferno (Cousin) — As a kid, Bones used to look up to Disco a lot. As a teen? Stars, his cousin is so cringe.

History:
Bones wasn't planned but his parents were ecstatic (on the inside) about him, and he was a very welcome addition to their family. Maud and Mudbriar lived in Maud's crystal cave at the time, but bough a house in Ponyville once she became pregnant, figuring that it might be easier than raising a baby in a cave with no plumbing or gas or… anything. It's a cave. They'd still visit it a lot and camp there during the summer though.

He had a fairly normal childhood; his parents loved him and even if their way of showing it was unconventional, he never had any trouble understanding them. He did okay in school, he had friends, he had an overbearing but fun aunt and cousin living in the same town…

Ugh.

Why did his backstory have to be so lame?

His cousin Disco had strange empathic powers and a national hero as his mom. Mom's friend Starlight used to be a cult leader and was now the former student of a Princess. Mom's other friends were all also national heroes or said Princess. Meanwhile, Bones' parents were…. a guy who likes sticks and a mare with a rocktorate. They're not exactly cool.

As a teen, he struggles to stand out among a town full of interesting ponies, and expresses this by dyeing his mane dark and wearing a spiked collar. His parents are boring, his cousin is cringe, but Bones is cool. He's not like other kids. He's deep. Noone gets him.

Trivia:
Like with Midsummer and Kris, I included his adult form here so people wouldn’t be confused that his teenage version is him as an adult. But despite this, he is a teenager at the time most of my other cast are adults (when most of the stories in my nextgen verse takes place)

As an adult, if he had the energy, he'd 100% be a pastel punk. But seeing as he doesn't, he usually sticks to just dyeing his mane rainbow-y.

Was very confused about his own name for the first few years of his life, as Maud and Mudbriar exclusively referred to him as "Stones" and "Sticky" respectively.

I decided to not include what's gonna happen to him in the future, because I haven't decided 100% yet. I know the gist, enough to make a design I'm happy with, but not exactly.
