Interceptors: Hailing from De Laguz, Interceptors were originally conceived to combat the threat of raiders. Pegasus scouts were sent ahead to lookout for threats and, if possible, eliminate them before they became a problem. If the threat is too great, they retreat back to their convoy and report what they've seen.

Volant guard: Fehu is the patron of hippogriffs, and keeper of knowledge. Recognizing the value of intelligent and learned soldiers, the blue-dyed volant guard make up the elite military troops of the Dragon Kingdoms. Although not quite as fast as a scout, and not as durable as the common guard, they are equipped with natural weapons and good endurance.

Conscripts: A dime a dozen, the common guard, while not particularly skilled being mostly conscripts, are innumerable in quantity. Damn near impossible to take down due to their thick coat of armor and earth pony durability, the common guard subdue threats via sheer numbers, or stall long enough for volant guard to arrive.
