Pippin has a pet pig named Miss Rosie, who was given to him when she had already had a growth spurt and was plenty used to being bothered by younger piglets. This is when the little colt seemed to really open up, now wanting to spend every moment with Rosie and doll her up with ribbons and bows. Miss Rosie had little to no patience as a baby, but fortunately was past the stage in her life where she would resist like most rowdy little pigs, so she let Pippin pamper her as much as he wanted. Everyone expected Pippin to prefer rolling in the mud with his pet, but he would respond by looking at them in absolute disgust, especially since he regularly gives Miss Rosie a bath.
