Of course, lots of ideas that make intuitive sense to toddlers don't work very well in the real world, too. This is why we don't let toddlers run everything. Many, perhaps most, of our problems are complex and difficult and not susceptible to solutions that can be written on a bumper sticker. Throughout history lots of people have appeared and said "I have the solution to all our problems and it's really simple and elegant and everyone can understand." Most of them have been crazy or worse.
