Sure enough, somepony did die behind one of the buildings. Apparently, his name was Mason Alabaster, and his wife, Olive, was the one who screamed. He had been tied to the ground with vines and took many beatings to the face. The vines may have not been as thick as the ones used to strangle Flare, but they were thick-and tight— enough to pin him down.
We all stood murmuring for a few minutes before I saw something in the corner of my eye. The Masked Mare! She was standing on the path leading up to Canter Logic. This time, I should be able to reach her. Time to unmask this pony and find out who she really is!
Not to say I didn't already know who it was…
