Description:

I made some gifts for Themisto97, who is a great fan of Moondancer, a character of whom I hadn't made any art until now, in spite of the fact that I really celebrated the episode "Amending Fences" when it came out. I had seriously often been wondering about that "Moondancer" who was first friend of Twilight ever named in the series, but who had remained an absolute mystery until that episode.
The aquarelle I painted gives a somewhat gloomy view of her, possibly on the evening of that fateful ummer sun celebration just shortly before the return of Nightmare Moon. I wonder if under different circumstances she might have been prone to fall under some allurement of Nightmare Moon (if allurement of any sort have ever been on Nightmare Moon's agenda to begin with).
In the image I also experimented a bit, trying to create a kind of nightlight atmosphere with moonlight falling through the window into a dark room illuminated only by Moondancer's horn. I worked out to some degree and I am happy with the result, but there is till a lot to learn for me about how to make best use of aquarell pencils (or whatever colored pencils whose pigments are water-soluble are called in English. Even Wikipedia didn't help to get a definite answer on that one, so if anyone can give me the correct English term I would be most obliged :D).
