Description:

The only two queens to ever rule the Crystal Empire.

Cadence's rule was known for peace and prosperity, a bubbling new age in which a restored empire was made glorious once again. She was a loving Queen who took special care in interacting with each and every one of her subjects, and she truly loved them all, more than anything. As the former Queen, she was and still is well-known for her beauty, grace, and charm, and by many is known as the lightbringer.

Before ascending into an alicorn, Cadence was a pegasus beloved by all who met her. Originally, she was Celestia's intended heir to the sun, but destiny spoke otherwise. Her talents were needed elsewhere; she was fated to restore the love and legacy of a lost empire.

Much of the Crystal Empire's history remains unknown, but many believe its rediscovery implies a repurpose. Most citizens consider the Royal Family a collection of saviors, all of which are destined to bring greatness to the Empire. They practically worship them, especially their Queen, as the Empire is a monarchy.

Cadence has a special form of light magic that manifests itself as love magic. It's an incredibly rare affinity, especially for a pegasus.

Love Letter's rule is just as adored, but she is better known for her ambition. She dreams of expansion, of liberation, of delivering greatness to her people just as she'd promised them. Cadence was good, but Love was going to be better.

She is almost symbolic. Her entire life, she refused the prospect of a pair of alicorn wings. She denied ascension over and over again, even though alicorn magic would make her nearly unstoppable. She does this because she doesn't need wings to see her goals met, and because her people don't need an alicorn in order to fall into submission. She can show them that a unicorn has power all the same.

Flurry has wings, but Flurry is weak.

Cadence obtained a unicorn horn, but was powerless to save her daughter from losing her own.

Love was born a unicorn, and she intends to stay that way. Even an ordinary pony can become the Queen.

Love's rule shortly becomes something tyrannical, although none of the Crystal Ponies seem to see it that way. Only her sister, Flurry Heart, and Cadence, who is a broken mother that falls into silence. Love's citizens, on the other hand… they get a taste of justice- real justice- not that lovey dovey garbage Cadence insists on- no, the vengeance they've been owed since Sombra's time.
