Description:

> Self Control: Any warrior can cut down ALL enemies with ALL their power. But a samurai exercises self-discipline. They use all their energy sparingly, and they only kill when they must.

> Starlight Glimmer: Quite ironic that just as Twilight rose from samurai to shogun, she found her very own samurai in the form of an unlikely pony. On first glance, she may seem like a Mary-Sue of a rogue who got off easy for her impudence and transgression. Well, she may have earned the Mane 6's forgiveness a little too quickly. But contrary to our initial belief she had no flaws, she had at least one: she previously lacked any self-control. She had so much raw magic, yes, but raw talent isn't much if you don't have the discipline to use it when needs be. "Every little Thing" was a testament of that. Throughout her time on the series, she had to steadily use her magic when needs be, sometimes to the point of relearning how to trust herself with this magic. Towards the end, she was a true warrior who learned how to look deep inside herself and find the inner-peace to apply her magic only when needs be.

> Commentary: Ironically, this was my easiest pictures to draw, but it took me the longest because I had yet to coordinate what shade of purple went with which shade of light blue. I think I could've given Starlight a lighter shade of pink for her coat, but I'm glad how her hairstyle came out. Ironically, it almost resembles her hairstyle back when she was an antagonist. It was unintentional on my part, but it does also suit her sense of self-control she exercised later in the series. Last but not least, I made Starlight's kimono an inverse of Twilight's, periwinkle on royal blue. That way, it reflects how Twilight's time from student to teacher has come full circle.
