… for a little backstory, Princess Marina was kind of a stuck-up brat for a while. But after a kidnapping/plan to sabotage the kingdom, Marina wastes no time in trying to free herself from her shackles, and winds up hacking off her left foreleg… It's kind of her coming of age moment where she realizes how to truly value things and stuff… afterwards, she becomes very humble and kind, always looking out for the kingdom and performing charity work. Her prosthetic leg is made of brass so it can withstand the ocean water/salinity (she loves to swim in the ocean a lot).

Princess Marina is in charge of the ocean tides, because tides are related to the moon, which happens to be her brother :3

She also becomes this badass warrior princess when she's not doing charity work…
