-Big meat woman! Shes quite feminine, but her large size makes her appear much more masculine than she means to look.
-Powerful sorceress with a skill for learning spells and deconstructing their components to change and enhance them. Only a pony with her talents could have started Our Town and changed all those cutie marks.
-Is Twilight's cousin. Their mothers are sisters, though Starlight's mother left her and Firelight when Starlight was a very small child. This abandonment in combination with Sunburst leaving is why she has the abandonment and inferiority issues that she has.
-As mentioned, Starlight is skilled in spellwork and changing spells as she does them. This is her special talent, though Starlight didn't get her cutie mark until she was almost an adult. As a teenager, she started wearing the equals sign on her flank in rebellion, and actually got her cutie mark when she changed Starswirl's spell. The irony was not lost on her. The subtle equals sign under her cutie mark is a nod to this.
-Is married to Trixie, and they have one child together.
