I've never been good at writing these personal retrospective things, so I'm probably going to be brief. From my own perspective, this has been a year of personal progress and artistic development. Artistically I've moved more outside of my comfort zone, done more to further my skillset and toolset, and for the first time in years produced a solid piece of video content that I'm genuinely proud of. On the personal front, I learned to drive, made efforts to cut unneeded stress from my life, made more of an effort to educate myself, and started to take understanding myself more seriously.
Of course, you don't need me to tell you that for the world at large, it's been a pretty awful year. You've probably seen and experienced some of it yourself. Yet, there is reason to be hopeful in my opinion. Not in any government, hell no, but in regular working people. All over the world, you see common workers standing up for themselves, finding their own voice, and fighting back against the bullshit we've been made to deal with our whole lives. Despite all the bad shit, a glimmer of hope remains.
I don't know what the next year has in store for us, but we can face it as the best version of ourselves. We can use our past experiences to learn and grow, NEVER forget that a better world is ALWAYS possible.
