Personality: Sassy and sarcastic, but very friendly, humble, loyal, and respectful. She's also very smart, open-minded, and curious, and she doesn't care about what others think of her or her interests as long as she's happy.

Backstory: When Raven was a filly, she was obsessed with the concept of tickling. As she got older, however, an older witch shamed her for it after discovering that her tickling jinxes spiraled out of control: Whenever ponies caught a mere glimpse of Raven, they would end up being tickled. As a result, Raven was forced to wear a cloak whenever she went outside. Due to her myterious appearance and phenomenon of ponies being tickled, she was titled "The Tickle Jinx."
Raven eventually developed low self-esteem over the fact that she had to hide herself for who she was. She also developed intrusive thoughts about other ponies she knew getting tickled, and most of the time, these thoughts became a reality. The only ponies who were exempt from this were her friends, Friday the 13th and Violet Moon. Together, they formed a rock band called The Jinxes.
One of the few ponies who accepted her for her fixation was her friend Feather Dust. They went out a couple of times, but they never wanted to be official forever. Her friendship with Feather Dust was what got Raven a part-time job as a psychologist.
Because of her job, Raven has grown to accept that her jinx is part of who she is, and although there's nothing she could do about it, it's one of those things that genuinely makes her happy.
