In issue's 61-62 of the IDW comic form of MLP FIM, Twilight and a group of scholars manages to prevent the transfer of Canterlot to the Griffons. But let's say that Glenda was the one who found the document that proved that the ponies paid the sum of gold to the griffons and lets say that Glenda pretends to not find the document, yet gives it to Lord Goldstone.

The transfer of Canterlot happens and Lord Goldstone's personal holdings increase. Lord Goldstone in time rewards Glenda for her loyalty by taking her as his wife and giving her half of his holdings, granting her a wing (no pun intended) of Canterlot Castle. This would've changed the course of history of Equestria and the MLP FIM franchise as we know it.
