"I don't really like the image of King Sombra in the canon: he's a plane and cliche villain, but sometimes fanfiction makes him really much more interesting and/or intimidating. Here I tried to capture this feeling of demonic-ness and fear. And also I really like drawing metal on armor. And of course I'm fascinated with what you can do to MLP if you add more fantasy elements to it.
