> Originally we had young Pipsqueak (from Luna Eclipsed) as The Duke, but realized later that we wouldn't be using the name "Pipsqueak" for Snowflake (since his name is funny as it is) and so the joke would be lost. We also decided we wanted the freedom fighters to all be Pegasi since they live in the trees.

> Snowflake was probably my favorite to draw, once I got passed his huge muscles and odd proportions. I've never drawn him before, so this was a fun chance to adapt him to my style and I think he turned out pretty great.
