Despite her success now, Kimono Silk came from very humble beginnings. She was born and raised in a very poor neighborhood in lower Manehattan. Her parents worked tirelessly to support and give their filly the best life possible. She was accepted on scholarship to pristine primary school where the graceful and dedicated pegasus flourished. Kimi became heavily involved in theater and eventually found herself in the pageant scene.

With newfound connections through families of friends she had made during her time in school, the little filly began modeling for small-time gigs like advertisements for local clothing stores. Gradually, Kimono became more and more well-known until she became a big name in the modeling industry at just a young teen.

Her and her family’s life had changed for the better, now being able to afford things like a nice house in a better neighborhood. While Kimono never really had her heart set on modeling and would much rather pursue her passion of musical theater, she saw how happy hee success made her parents and continued her career path for them. She feels personally responsible for and indebted to her parents after how hard they worked raising her, and she is determined to give them the best life possible, even at the expense of her own happiness. Though she travels a lot now for work, she has remained very close with her mother and father over the years, providing for all their wants and needs.

Poised, dedicated, and kindhearted, Kimi is very good at bottling up her emotions and putting on a brave face. Only a few close to her are able to tell how she truly feels, and with encouragement from her friends, she is working on opening up more and expressing herself. She loves singing, gardening, and swimming, and is secretly a huge Princess Luna fanfilly.
