Flash Sentry looked at his brother. He wanted to cry. His parents were arguing again. His dad is mad he has to take care of another child and his mom is mad she has to be with him for another 16 years. It's all the kids fault, they say. His brother doesn't understand this yet though. He's always been the brunt of his parents accusations and blame, but now that he has a little brother, he knows they will blame him for their misery too. " Some day, I'll get us both out of here." Flash Sentry whispered. First Base just stared at him.

Part of my Flash Sentry's backstory. His parents were teens when they had him and are both very emotionally abusive to Flash Sentry and First Base. When Flash Sentry was able to take care of his brother with the money he made for being a Royal Guard, he took his little brother away from his parents. They haven't seen or heard from them since. Flash is 10 in this picture.
