Been sketching some of my kiddos between classes

1. Glowstik's dad was named Slater. It's about as much information that his mother Trixie is willing to share about Glowstik's dad. In an attempt to fill the void of a parental figure (Trixie wasn't a great one), he does whatever he can to associate himself with his dad instead of Momma Trix. To detach himself further from her, he disregards the name she gave him, Glowstik, and opts for Slater instead. At least for a while. Plus, it just kinda sounds cool to him. He has yet to meet his dad, but he's always wanted to. Even if Trixie wanted to help them meet, she has no idea where ol' Slater is nowadays

Glow has a few piercings (eyebrow and 3 on his ears). He loves them and displays them very proudly. He's also wearing makeup here, eyeliner and eyeshadow, which is something he picked up from Crystal Empire ponies during the time he spent in an alternate dimension.


2. Greywind in all her glory. Her mom Rainbow Dash actually got a few tattoos before she got the matching one with her kids (and husband), but she ended up removing most of them. Tattoo artists don't get a lot of attention in Equestria because it's considered almost traitorous to mark your body, the ultimate disrespect to the sacredness of cutie marks. It's just kind of a bad omen. Ponies and non-ponies alike have been known to tattoo cutie marks onto themselves when they're particularly desperate, like adult blank flanks, and non-ponies who crave the value of cutie marks (like Gabby). If a pony intentionally gets a tattoo of a false cutie mark, there are side effects, like what happened to Apple Bloom in that one episode where she gave herself 20+ cutie marks. The Dash fam wasn't trying to alter or choose their fate through a false cutie mark, they just wanted a cool symbol they could all share.


3. Love Letter is Queen of the North (cue GoT intro). I checked the Equestrian map and some sources say the Crystal Empire is at the veryyy top of the map, so I'll just stick with that. I think it'd be cute if Love's mane slightly alternated when temperatures get extra chilly. It's not the most noticeable change, but her colors dull more than they already are. This doesn't happen to her much, but Cadence and Shining always thought it was super cute when it did.


4. Been a while since I drew my baby. About a year and a half ago I drew Panther at his tribal ceremony, and I thought it'd be cute if his hair was grown out so he'd look a lil more like his mom. I like to think this is what his hair would look like in it's natural form, but since he lives with a bunch of zebras it's just more convenient to have the traditional zebra cut.
