.) For a time, I was fixated on the MLP rule 63 trend. So heres my design for a female Discord-smaller, sleeker, and much more dangerous, I give you Eris, spirit of chaos and disharmony. Her hobbies including goading Celestia into a rage, flipping Canterlot castle upside down, and wrecking friendships with a few well-placed words. She loves to play games, but she doesnt play fair, and throws monumental hissy fits when she loses.
.) For some reason, I prefer Shining Armor as female. His character on the show is pretty boring-hes simply a plot device, an object to be rescued. The idea of a lady pony as the valiant captain of the royal guard is an interesting inversion of gender norms, and it makes the character less boring to me. I didnt know how Shining Armors "buffness" should translate as a female design, so I designed the body type as a sort of sturdier Fleur de Lis. I also sketched an armored male Cadence, but abandoned the idea. Or maybe I like the idea of leaving Cadence female and shipping her with lady Shining Armor. ;) lesbian pony princesses probably wouldnt go over well at Hasbro
.) More rule 63d characters. Prince Tempo and Captain Gleaming Shield, Queen Sombre, and an earlier version of my Eris.
.) I alone wield the power of the Sun! I alone shoulder the weight of my nation! I am Celestia the unconquered, and you will bow down to me! Ive always wanted to draw a royally pissed off Celestia. Shes always so serene in the show, but Id love to see her face off against a major foe and win, dammit.
.) A personal headcanon of mine is that Spike and Twilight eventually get forced apart. He is a growing dragon in a world dominated by ponies, and she gets caught up in her duties as a princess. Spike eventually leaves to be with his own kind, and upon witnessing the atrocities committed against dragons by ponies( egg theft, hoard theft, population control, forced relocation, slayings) he is embittered against the ponies and eventually creates a council for dragon rights. Misunderstood and trivialized by the ponies, the council eventually turns to acts of terrorism against the ponies, and eventually pony-dragon tensions escalate to full blown war. The next time Twilight sees Spike, he is fully grown and rampaging through Canterlot in an effort to retrieve stolen dragon eggs. Her only orders are to take him down.
.) Hopefully, a sneak peek at a comic project of mine.:O
.) Carefree Applejack. I feel AJ has the potential to be a very interesting character, but the show keeps her confined to her farm and family, never really exploring her personality beyond her stubbornness, and love of her family. Id love an episode exploring how she dealt with her parents(presumed) deaths, or one where she is no longer content on the farm and ventures out for adventure. Justan Applejack episode about something OTHER than her family and farm. Its old hat, pun definitely intended. ;)
