celestia and treehugger met through fluttershy and discord, and ended up being exactly what they needed.
treehugger needed somepony to encourage her. though she's connected deeply to her own soul, this connection makes her fearful of change. celestia was the one to open her up to the realization that, while scary, change always has some way of being worth while.
celestia needed somepony to help calm her. with working as the sole ruler of equestria for 1,000 years, now that she's retired she almost…. feels stressed out that she has nothing to do? twilight never calls for help anymore. luna's living a peaceful life up north. and life's never been better for the average pony. she's uncomfortable with how calm life is. treehugger helps her realize that, with change comes stagnant periods, and sometimes life can be as simple as enjoying a cup of tea watching the sunrise. (though, luna and celestia still perform their sun and moon jobs…. so celestia always has to watch the sunrise.)
