Gruncle Gonsod: Gosh darn it! C'm on, Gruff! Yer supposed to say "You're despicable"!
Grandpa Gruff: Please. I'd never use such a soft statement on you.

I've been developing many things in my stories lately with a lot of inspiration taken from various sources of media, one of them being The Looney Tunes, specifically, The Looney Tunes Show (my favourite TLT edition). While Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck's interactions in the series have inspired me a bunch for developing Gallus and Grandpa Gruff's relationship, they've also given me inspiration for development in other characters and chemistries, including the friendship between these two elderly Griffons, and many of their personality traits.
For anyone wondering who is who in this case, well, it's shown in the picture, but they often switch personalities too, so I guess you could say both Griffons have a bit of Bugs and Daffy in them.
Gruncle Gonsod's personality is mainly similar to Bugs Bunny's and Grandpa Gruff's personality (and some of his quirks) is similar to Daffy Duck's, but they tend to have a bit of the other party too.
The way I see it, Gruff is as cunning, confident, wise-cracking, playful, and sarcastic as Bugs, and gets amused by his best friend (Gonsod) when he's around, much like Bugs does with Daffy. He likes making witty and sarcastic remarks at the expense of others, especially when he refers to Gallus or Gonsod. I can see him taking pride in his appearance and getting offended when others state that he's ugly, much like Bugs does (especially when crossdressing). I can also see him sharing the bunny's problem in controlling his intake when it comes to drinking coffee. Gruff's similarities with Daffy are quite obvious, but I will include them anyway. Much like Daffy, Grandpa Gruff seems to be short-tempered and to get irritated rather easily. Of course, he has a compassionate side and does greatly care for his friends and honorary family, despite rarely ever showing it. Though, one thing I don't believe the duck and the Griffon have in common is lying. While I can see Grandpa Gruff having quite the skills in manipulating and pranking others like Daffy does, I don't think he's the lying type or a good liar in general (unless it's necessary, at least) and I believe he has a decent amount of intelligence and self-awareness. He also doesn't mind wearing 'girly' accessories and is perfectly comfortable doing so when needed in occasions, such as playing with the cubs or helping Gemma practice applying makeup and styling/ cutting hair. I also noticed something else the two have in common: their names are somehow connected to their personalities!
As for Gonsod, even though he's considered as the "straight man" and the "voice of reason" in his friend group, he can be just as clueless and have as many ridiculous schemes as his companions and Daffy. He also has a feminine side, as he uses a handbag, likes wearing "cute-looking" aprons (especially when cooking or cleaning) and doing his claws (just sharpening and polishing them, not painting them), and is perfectly comfortable wearing 'girly' accessories when needed in occasions, such as playing with the cubs when he helps Gruff look after them. The two also share the same middle name, which is "Sheldon", and much like Daffy prefers the name "Armando", Gonsod prefers the name "Sebastian" (the middle name he was originally going to be given). Gonsod's traits are similar to Bug's, but I will include them anyway. Much like Bugs, he gets annoyed easily and, although normally friendly, he does have something of a temper. He likes making witty and sarcastic remarks to get in the skin of others, especially when he refers to Gruff (something the latter happily reciprocates). Despite his intelligence and rationality, he is not without his moments of idiocy and, as said above, he can be full of crazy schemes. Their liking of carrots is also something they have in common (Gonsod is a carrot grower/ salesgriff, so he sees them everyday). I've also included a small quirk in his carrot-obsessiveness trait, which involves him putting carrots in almost every food he eats, like pizza, juice, even ice cream. His friends often make sarcastic remarks about how they wouldn't be surprised if Gonsod put carrots in his breakfast cereal. When munching a carrot, Gonsod has a tendency of holding the vegetable to his mouth as if it is a pipe. Another fact about Gonsod is somewhat in-between Bugs and Daffy as Gonsod's 'bandages' are actually armbands that the Griffon claims to wear because they're a part of who he is (like Bugs and his gloves), as well as for "medical reasons" (like Daffy and his pearl necklace) as there are a few little scratches on the 'bandaged' areas.
