First day of Princess Week!

Hello to all my little subjects :D
Today is the first day of Princess Week. The theme is "Quinceañera" and, for the occasion, two drawings have been made! Please note that the second one was done a week ago as a training exercise for this event.


For my drawings, I wanted to take on the theme of the phoenix, that legendary bird that consumes itself in a blazing inferno before being reborn. A bit like our Dolly Hooves, who feels reborn in pretty dresses adorned with ribbons.

Background —
When Velvet Sky suggested she do her "Quinceañera" ceremony, Dolly's first reaction was to point out that she hasn't been fifteen for a long time. However, she's only been fully embracing her femininity for a few months, and in that sense she's still a young filly waiting to become a mare. What's more, this event is part of a major advertising campaign for Velvet Sky's new clothing brand 'B2BU'. But even if the aim is to get her in front of cameras, her ceremony won't be done by halves.


Introducing —
Dolly Hooves is one of those ponies for whom success has been a long time coming. Her first novels were a series of unambitious stories with a print run of a few hundred copies, most of which were used as kindling. But despite her failures, she never gave up. She always knew that one day she would write something so compelling that no one could resist reading it. Last year, that miracle happened when she released Under Cover of a Red Dress, a thrilling tale of espionage and forbidden love.
