Description:

despite the many dangers in her life, not many would typically recognize the oracle of magic’s daughter; angel eyes, at first glance. she’s a relatively quiet individual, polite and well spoken, but small in the face of the rest of the world. and due to that, she often has to prove herself as being an actual heir to any throne. especially when it comes to wandering the grounds of royalty.

though that’s not to say that others can’t see this, so whenever visiting, the third princess of the empire makes a point in trying to make sure that angel is always accompanied with. pom and angel have always been pretty close, being around the same age; with pom only being a little older, they had a quick affinity for each other.

the two understand each other’s struggles of proving themselves to others, while also facing a pressure to be something or someone. though pom has always been the luckier of the two when it came to the recognition part as her face is probably one of the most well known amongst the aristocrats of the empire. angel on the other hand living in the hidden away home of ponyville didn’t exactly have a lot of aid in boosting her image.

the cousins make a point of looking out for each other, especially in the moments of tension, when one is being accused of not being who they really are…

cold crystal flooring reverberated delicate steps as the slender pegasus trotted down the way, her body felt the stagnant chill of the castle’s halls. angel shivered as she sought a way towards the minor throne room, though much smaller, it was no less grand than her aunt and uncle’s. if only she could just find it in this behemoth of a castle—

“hey, you!” shouted a deep voice down the halls.

angel bristled and turned, her eyes making contact with a dark blue unicorn. “do you have clearance to be back here?” he says, stepping forward.

“i- uhm. i… yes! yes, yes i do. i’m looking for my cousin.” angel stammered, shrinking into her own skin. celestia, bring the stars down on me, damn it… “d-do you know where the minor throne room is?” oh dear goddesses, please kill her.

the unicorn looked her up and down, and slimmed his mouth. “i don’t planning on just leading a citizen out to the royal grounds, i’ll need proof of your identity.”

“oh, no! i’m a royal too, just uhm. my name is—”

“you’re a royal? i don’t recognize you. what sector do you hail from?”

“i don’t. uhm. p-ponyville?”

his eyes narrowed, and he huffed. “please come with me, nice try, but you don’t belong here.” the guard forwarded towards angel. “no! s-sir, please, my name is tower-seer angel eyes, i’m oracle twilight sparkle’s daughter!” to no luck, the unicorn guard ignored her claims and began to push angel to his direction.

“s-sir, please! i’m not—no, don’t lead me away. please, i’m just trying to see my family.”

“do not fight, maiden. i am only leading you to the afrodis level. there you can mingle with other visitors, and perhaps your ‘cousin’ will be there.”

“b-but—” angel pushes him back. her breath was short, nerves ran wild in her body.

his horn lights up briefly with sparks, his steps firm as he herds her away. “that is enough of your fighting, ma’am. i must take you away!”

“please!—“

“duke sergeant cobalt.” a voice broke through the confrontation. the stallion turned towards the voice, so quick to attention that one would think that he had never attempted to shuffle angel away. “what in the goddesses’ names are you doing to the tower-seer?” said the beautiful white mare with a garnet reddish pink mane. the presumably named cobalt kneeled quickly, evading eye contact, he bowed his head. “i was escorting her out, she seemed an intruder. so i sought to bring her out to public so she would not be a disturbance.”

the princess approached slowly, her steps filled with power in ever echo. “you deny the identity of the tower-seer?” pom sneers, “i thought your lessons had least included the history of your own ruler’s family nobility. how shame of you.” angel watches as she comes to her side. snaking her way between, she nudges angel gently and takes her to her side.

“even then,” her posture rises to her full height. “she is allowed here on my authority. understand that?”

cobalt nods, his head still so low it perhaps was touching the ground. “yes, your highness.”

“good, now, come along, cousin.” pom trotted alongside angel. the two in tandem as they continued down the hall. “what an asshole.” the princess remarked. angel lifted her head and smiled a small grin. “i don’t think he was too bad, i mean, he was just doing his job.” pom rolled her ruby eyes. “oh cousin, you forgive too easily.” she says, pressing her muzzle close to angel’s cheek affectionately.

“let’s go, we have many things to discuss.”
