In my original vision for this image it was a movie of sorts. Twilight sits there on the throne as ponies speed around too quickly to see. The only other constant is spike, who grows enormous in the room as centuries pass. Suddenly Spike is gone. There are no more Ponies, and Princess Twilight is alone. She looks around, and in the dust she sees visions of her past. They trap her there, like a dream.

and yes, yes. I know it is just a messy edit of two pics. I was listening to Oh Land youtu.be/kew62gpNTn0 , and I thought I'd put them together to reflect some of that change. It was pretty easy to do of course. All I changed was princess Twilight's eyes to have her looking at Rainbow Dash and some minor tweaking and overlays to get it looking right.
