Hey everyone,



Now in my journey of reimagining my Nightkin characters, we come to the identical twins, Holly and Hemlock.



They have both been fully redesigned- full new colour palettes, new manes and a new body-style. Pardon my language, but I fucking love how these two turned out, and they may well be my favourites of the bunch so far!



With this pair of does, it was far better to depict one and copy/paste the other- the tool I use for the fawn spots randomised them, so I could never get a consistent result if I drew Holly and Hemlock individually.



They now live in Sire's Hollow with the majority of the other Nightkin characters, and they run a small grocery shop mainly selling in what produce they can forage from the local forest, along with other general essentials.



Their bodies are utterly identical, as are their voices and personalities, leading many local ponies to joke that they have a single soul between both of them. Additionally, Holly and Hemlock are well aware of the good-natured jokes, and play into it further.



The fact that they will often speak in unison, and finish each other's sentences when they DO speak individually has played quite a role in this. As does the fact that they sometimes swap their identifying hair-clips specifically so that you never have any true idea of who you are actually speaking to. Just as a bit of light-hearted fun, of course.



However, this trick does not work on other Nightkin, who can tell them apart easily via scent and certain behavioural cues that are imperceptible to other creatures.
