Hey everyone,
I knew I said way back when that I was going to have Lady Imani as my sole giraffe OC, but I decided that I would instead change her (hitherto unseen and unmentioned) pony aide into a giraffe after doing this base edit that was going to be part of my batch of adopts that I've been slowly working on for months at this point.
This came out way better than I'd have ever anticipated, and I love how she looks!
So, in the interest of giving Hadiya a bit of character, here's a few tidbits!
Madame Hadiya is a 25 year old giraffe cow who hails from the same tribe as Lady Imani. Hadiya works as Lady Imani's personal aide with her ambassadorial duties and is thus just as well known to the Equestrian Princesses as Lady Imani is.
But where her superior became close friends with Princess Luna, Hadiya managed the same with Princess Celestia. The two of them can often be found gossiping together over lunch and/or cakes. For Celestia’s part, she sees a lot of Twilight Sparkle's studiousness in Hadiya and not a little of her former student's friendliness coupled with a bit of social awkwardness
This young lady is fit and healthy and suffers no medical ailments of any kind apart from short-sightedness, for which she wears those adorable glasses with, admittedly thick, corrective lenses. Again, like Lady Imani, Hadiya has adopted an Equestrian manestyle in order to better fit in and as a tribute to the ponies themselves — a people whom Hadiya has come to adore.
Hadiya, in short, is a somewhat nervous but kind and softly spoken girl who is a colossal nerd at heart and loves comic books and action movies. Gentle, considerate, and every bit the xenophile that her boss is, Hadiya was selected for this job specifically to avoid another scandal within her tribe.
To reiterate, xenophila, or having sexual partners from outside of her own species, is utterly forbidden by giraffe tribal tradition, much the same as it is with tribal deer. And so the tribe exiles those found to engage in such base acts, as they see them.
