candle light — soft key light, 1 rim, 1 bounce
I'd like to note that this is my first serious attempt at drawing human figures in a painting like this without referencing any models or photos.

The first lighting scenario I can take with my current piece thats a WIP! Romantic candlelight strippin'.

Though if you ask me it may look like Aj's using RD as a ritual sacrifice to summon a demon familiar. >.< Not what I intended, by the way. Ignore RD's phantom arm, too. I sketched, lined, then shaded it before I decided that I hated how it looked so I'm gonna do it over. Cx

This one features a soft key light originating from between Aj and RD, then a rim light coming on from the left of Aj, and then a very subtle bounce light on the right side of RD. The effect of the soft key light is that it gives the piece a more photographic quality in comparison to my other piece. The softness, to me, invokes a stronger sense of realism.
