#10. "Care Bears"- What 80's kids hasn't seen this? I used to like it a lot as a kid, but now…lets's say it doesn't live up to the 80's TMNT.
The late 80's episodes made the characters out of character, and they made these two bad movies: "Care Bears in Wonderland" and "Care Bears and the Nutcracker"; Two crossover movies didn't need nor have anything to do with the Care Bears
I didn't even bother wanting to see the remake of this cartoon because: _Where did Oopsy Bear came from? _Where are/what happened to the Care Bear Cousins? _Who's that robot with them? _The voices are ear-torching So that is a possibly the good explanition why it's on the 10th space on the list.
#9. "The Little Mermaid (TV Series)"- Like "Care Bears," I like it a lot as a kid, because it has great plots for episodes like the original movie does. While the Disney company made some TV series of Disney movies, characters, and fairy tales that are already made, this cartoon was one their better shows.
It said that it set on the events BEFORE the first film. Various episodes highlight her relationship with her friends, father and sisters, and usually involves Ariel foiling the attempts of various enemies that intend ill harm to her or to her kingdom.
With original characters that aren't event set for the original film, newer awesome songs, origins, different diolougs, and having strengths and weeknesses.
#8. (tie) "Sailor Moon" and "W.I.T.C.H.": Well, I love shows that are about magical girls.
It's hard to choose one of them but I had to choose both because they're both in my past memory and childhood. Me and my older brothers used to watch that show all the time! and I even have a w.i.t.c.h. comic book! X3
#7. "Little Bear"- Like "The Little Mermaid & (it's TV Series)", this show also adapted to the plots that go excactly like the books! like it a lot as a kid!
But still original because of the plots is covered with likable, loveable characters, everything that goes by the episodes, clever big-hearted stories, and good dialouge and voices.
Not to mention a memorable soundtrack! :D
#6 (tie) "Rugrats" and "Hey Arnold!": I hold these two shows very close to me.
I love both of these shows ever since I saw them on nickelodeon.
With "Rugrats," I loved this show for it's adventures, cuteness, and imagenations (and I always rooted for it to be popular).
While Hey Arnold, this was the cartoon that made started liking them to be one of the best shows from the start, not the ones of today.
#5. (tie) "Ed, Edd, n' Eddy" and "Tiny Toons":
I like "EEnE" because it was whole of likable characters (except for Kevin, Sarah, and Jimmy), and has some of the most funniest quotes and dialoug I've ever heard (mostly coming from Ed) :giggle:
And I like "Tiny Toons" because of the cast of characters and forthwall gags.
#4. "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic":
Like most girls, I played with my MLPs, but as I grew up I relised that the show was about as great as I remembered, and the Ponies were gorgeious things (though they're not TOO stylish and completely dfferently).
But when FiM came, I wasen't too pleased about it changing it's "origins" and getting rid of it's girlyness" but later on, I was nowimpressed and instanly hooked on the upgrade on it!
And it had the 80's Ponies lacked: _The main female Ponies having strengths and weaknesses _Better stories and dialoug _Better songs _Male ponies that have personalites that doesn't make them token characters _Better voice acting _Animation that is eye pleasing and not too girly
Plus the feel of this new generation reminds of the Powerpuff Girls.
#3. "Winx Club": Like "Sailor Moon" and "W.I.T.C.H." Italian cartoonists made some TV series of female comic characters and transformations of cartoons that are already made, this cartoon was one their better shows.
The reason why I didn't say that "Winx Club" is an original idea, it's because in the 90's, Naoko Takeuchi made Sailor Moon which is about aimed mainly at girls that has something to do with magic powers, fashion, crime fighting and transformations… =|
But that still doesn't change my mind, because WC is about as creative as the other cartoons.
"Winx Club" proving that sometimes an unoriginal idea would become original if it's done better the previous one!
#2. "The Powerpuff Girls"- I seriously loved this character ever since I was really young.
I always looked forward to it when it was on, and i even have a few PPG merchandise still with me.
My favorite PPG was Blossom because of her pink color, long hair, intelengince, and honesty, but now I will always love Bubbles aLOT (she's so cute).
And my Number 1 favorite cartoon is….
#1, "Yo Gabba Gabba!"- Nuff said! ;) Though I still wished that the Gabba Gang had gotten their own movie and spin-off TV show instead of the up-coming show on Hub called "The Aquabats! Super Show!"
And as for the whole thing about The show becoming popular among some college-age young adults because of the artists often featured because the decient lession-learning numbers (I guess), So that this SHOULD be one of the greatest cartoon-like shows in cineama history! So yeah, I have the BEGGIST love for it! But if you have nothing nice to say about me loving the show where it's a children or a bit older children show, don't say anything at all!
Enjoy!
