Beryl is an everyday school-aged mare from the Crystal Empire, and she doesn't have much to her besides being an orphan, her admirable academic records and her newfound affinity for learning about dark magic, having been allured by the forbidden subject. Using a specific spell called "asymp", she can shatter her own body as if it were glass, and reform it elsewhere. She toys around with it, sometimes only shattering certain parts of her body so that she can use them, such as one time where she broke off her leg to use it as a javelin to pierce an eye of a many-eyed jellyfish monster who had dragged several houses high up into the sky. Don't ask; it makes sense in context.
Oh, and by the way, she is a unicorn, but I forgot to draw her horn because I'm stupid.
