As I shared before with my Sugar Moonlight project is that I Continued my custom Figures based on the Actual Characters from Generation 5. And I only focused on The characters that I personally liked (just the background or side characters).

Next up is Ruby Jubilee who was voiced by a actual celebrity, pop singer Sofia Wylie only appeared in My Little Pony make your mark’s special “Bridlewoodstock”.

I started off using Sunny Starscout “Alicorn” head and body, removing both mane and tail to make new ones. Her tail was a bit of a challenge since Ruby had curls mane and tail style and something similar to what Misty Brightdawn had since they are close to one and another (except Ruby is pink and a Pegasus while misty is blue and a unicorn).

So I made a very small thin shaped for the main tail piece and I later added more layers to it while processing to get the right shape I needed for the tail. Her mane was a bit different as I only tried to make the shape to be close and exactly like the show, and I did made a few sections of her Mane separated and would later super glue them once done. Like what I did with her tail, I rolled up some thin shapes that would be added to the Mane for accurate details and I did made some “Curl” details to be close like the character, it may been a slow process but it was a bit fun to make with a bit of patience.

Body of course the body was painted in a “Light reddish pink” as I also used a Pipp Pedals figure to make sure Ruby’s Colors are not exact like Pipp’s since they are both pink Pegasus who are also celebrities. Her eyes we’re painted brown and her cutie mark being a microphone with a heart-shape and star attachment were also painted on there.

Back onto her mane and tail, they were painted purple with a bit of Reddish pink gradient (not the same ones on her body), her wing Colors were mix between her body Colors, light purple and white.

Ruby has a lot of accessories in the show from her Anklets, Chocker, and head flower. Her Anklets were made from one of those twisty things painted reddish pink (again not the same as her body) while using one of the connected pieces from a actual MLP figure accessory modified, painted gold and added a Purple Heart shape jewel. I made sure I made all four of them for each hoof and they looked pretty good.

Her Chocker was also made using the same Twisty things but painted Purple and I made a special middle piece using 4 layers of paper glued together and sketched out the likeness of her accessory and painted it, same with super gluing the pieces all together and it’s another well made accessory for the character.

Finally her head flower piece was made with clay for the main body, two layers of glued paper for the top pieces “Two each” and finally the middle piece was also made from layers of paper “4 of course”. I even had to make a peg piece for the flower as I like to make it removable same for the rest of the accessories, but if Hasbro ever makes a actual Ruby Jubilee figure (which they won’t) they would just have her chocker and Anklets painted on the body and arms and her flower head just molded into the mane.

Either way, Ruby Jubilee is complete and this is now my new favorite custom figure and a improved way to make Curl mane and tails since my first Misty figure. Ruby is my second favorite G5 waifu and 4th favorite waifu for my ponysona, Misty of course being number one. I’m happy how Ruby turned out and I can use her next to Pipp Petals for a duet music for that “Musical mane melody” Playset, or even a custom “Bridlewoodstock” Playset since Ruby was only best known in that Make your Mark Special and who knows if she ever comes back?

that’s pretty much it for my custom MLP figures based on G5 for now and will plan on making “who’s next ?” Next time.
