Description:

Here is a timeline of Austria's army uniform evolution within my universe.

Of course, many things won't be 100% historically accurate, but I tried to blend fiction with real-life uniforms of the time. Some lore facts: the Nazis in my story are mostly wolves, German Shepherds, and white horses because those breeds are the equivalent of Aryans in real life—or at least that's how I wanted to portray it. For most of the animals, I tried to research Germanic breeds of dogs and others to make it more interesting. Fun fact: Wanda's grandpa was a heartless SS officer… Well, that's not fun at all. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, right?
The latex militia is the equivalent of the Nazi brown shirts, but in the Wandist context.

here the lore about religious battalion.

The "Kreuzkörper," or translating to "Body of the Cross," was an Austrian division of the army and police. It was created by General Heinz Von Rhien in September 1957, following the Austrian State Treaty (German: Österreichischer Staatsvertrag), which reestablished Austria as a sovereign state. The treaty was signed on May 15, 1955, in Vienna, at Schloss Belvedere, between the Allied occupying powers (France, United Kingdom, United States, and Soviet Union) and the Austrian government. The neighboring Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia later joined the treaty. The treaty officially came into effect on July 27, 1955.

Its full title is "Treaty for the reestablishment of an independent and democratic Austria, signed in Vienna on May 15, 1955" (German: Staatsvertrag betreffend die Wiederherstellung eines unabhängigen und demokratischen Österreich, unterzeichnet in Wien am 15. Mai). The treaty reestablished a free, sovereign, and democratic Austria. The basis of the treaty was the Moscow Declaration of October 30, 1943. The agreement and its annexes provided for concessions of Soviet oil fields and property rights to oil refineries in Eastern Austria, as well as the transfer of the assets of the Danube Shipping Company to the USSR.

With the end of Soviet rule in the country, many people who lived under communist governance feared its return—not from outside, but from within. Socialist and communist parties were still present in the country, such as the Communist Party of Austria (German: Kommunistische Partei Österreichs, KPÖ). Generals of the newly formed Austrian army, the Bundesheer, shared the same sentiment as the population. Heinz joined forces with other generals and delegates, some of whom were ex-political prisoners from the communist party, while others simply hid their convictions. They were all Christians, conservatives, and right-wing.

They created the Kreuzkörper, as a battalion composed of soldiers and police officers ready to combat the "red threat." It was a clandestine operation, as the government would not want to confront the USSR, which could lead to serious problems. However, these generals operated for a long time, even though their operation was illegal. The name refers to and honors the Knights Templar, as it includes "cross" in the name. Most of them were Christians, prepared to fight a war to save their faith and the salvation of people. They believed communism was something diabolical, created to separate people from God. In communist protests, they were called upon to restore order. Their operations typically involved direct confrontation with protesters, hitting them with batons, throwing gas bombs, and sometimes firing rubber bullets. It was quite controversial, and many people were seriously injured. Many criticisms were directed at the army and police. However, the government and security force leaders were bribed by the group's leaders to do nothing. They were powerful and influential. Please note that this information is based on a fictitious narrative and does not reflect real historical events or figures.

During the 1960s, the Kreuzkörper fought against feminist movements emerging in Austria. The largest and most influential of these was "weibliche Stärke" or "Feminine Strength." One of the movements they fought most against was the pacifist movement "der frau kämpf," founded in 1968 by German Martha Bertan. Feminism was becoming increasingly strong in some sectors of Austrian society, as the country was very traditional and conservative. This was especially true among the youth, who saw them as sexist and outdated. The Kreuzkörper viewed feminism as a demonic force corrupting women, leading them astray from the Christian life and their role as women and mothers. They were brutal against feminist protesters, demonstrating that they would not yield to this ideology.

In the 1970s, they continued operating, sometimes arresting Nazi and communist groups, as well as a few feminist demonstrations. At that time, communism and feminism were fading into obscurity. However, in the 1990s, feminism regained strength, with other radical groups attempting to gain momentum through protests, demonstrations, and even acts of vandalism. Alongside this resurgence came a new and greater threat, growing increasingly powerful: Wanda Flores and her “Partei der Frauenbefreiungsbewegung” (Party of the Women’s Liberation Movement), also known as the Wandistas. The Kreuzkörper battalion fought against them more intensely starting in 1996, sometimes resorting to physical violence and using firearms, such as during the massacre of 1997. In this event, Wanda Flores’ militia forces clashed with the police and the Kreuzkörper. Both sides used firearms, resulting in a bloodbath with 89 people killed on both sides.

The struggle continued until 1998, when the Wandistas, through a coup, came to power in Austria. Before Wanda’s rise to power, the battalion had been losing members and government support due to their excesses and brutality. However, when Wanda took power, they were persecuted, killed, and tortured. Many were sent to the nearest concentration camps. Others continued the fight clandestinely, forming a resistance group against the Wandista government. One of these groups was "männlicher Widerstand" or "Male Resistance," which were terrorist groups demanding male supremacy and the destruction of the Wandistas and feminism.
