The inspiration for this song is the idea that perhaps, instead of just a single battle between just Celestia and Nightmare Moon/Luna, they each had entire armies. This is a duet between the armies of both; it shows both armies basically giving their own a pep talk before they go to war, both believing they are the morally correct side.
