Some powerful villain has corrupted her with dark magic via the plunder vines, turning her into an evil version of herself. Princess Twivine Sparkle was created by DashieMLPFIM for his fanart fanfic and fanvideo, The Ultimate Alicorn (The Arrival of Princess Twivine Sparkle). I enjoy his stories, especially this one. I do know, however, that he has made two types of her. First, there was Twilight Sparkle herself corrupted by Omega Brony in the fanfiction mentioned above. And then, there is her clone, who became the antagonist in a different fanfiction, but being redeemed by the Mane Six. Personally, I prefer the Brainwashed Twivine to the Clone Twivine. It's very ironic, I hate it when something terrible happens to Twily, but I also enjoy her getting hypnotized or corrupted. The same is even true for Bloom from Winx Club, when she got corrupted into Dark Bloom. Sweating a little…
I made Twivine's vector back in 2018 — Princess Twivine Sparkle (Corrupted Version). I missed her, and since this month is Halloween/Nightmare Night Month, which is also the time for villains or corrupted heroes, I thought I would bring her back. I used one of my old vectors of Twilight for the vector, and then I changed her mane and tail, and gave her back her accessories. I didn't use the gradient for the crowns and slippers. I also didn't give her the Sombra eye effect. I'm actually thinking about giving her a type of dark magic that would come from the Plunder Vines instead of from King Sombra.
UPDATE: Instead of giving her the Sombra eye effect, I put in an inner glow in her pupils. I felt like since she's possessed by the magic of the Plunder Vines (or some villain embodying the vines), this effect would seal the deal in her corruption. It could even serve as a prelude for what could come, like Twivine might go from being Princess to the Queen of the Plunderseed…
Working on the vines was time consuming, but it definitely works for this pic. Chances are I might have to update this pic again.
