Personality / Background

No matter how much the tribes would bicker about each other they all had one thought that lined with each other’s, Bat ponies are not to be trusted. There was such heavy stigma around the Bat Ponies, how they would suck blood from earth ponies livestock, corrupt the skies made by the Pegasi and manipulate the Unicorns.
None of this is true.

Midnight grew up in the town of Hollow Shades. It was just here and her mother, Dusk Wreath. Her father died during the war between Bat ponies and Gryphons for territory. The town was a close community due to being pushed out from the three tribes for territory. Because of this, Midnight had to grow up quick. She joined the military as a child and trained religiously, wanting to defend her kind.

The laws of Equestrian, at the time, were very hard to understand. Between being traditional and just contradicting, they were heavily enforced. One of these laws was witchcraft; no pony, other than unicorn, born shall wield magic of any kind. Pegasi controlling the weather and earth ponies making crops grow quicker wasn’t considered breaking this law but Midnight was. She could wield magic and cast many spells that an average unicorn couldn’t.

As with many illegal things, this provides a very good profit. And. I’d night certainly needed the money to help her mother. She risked her life by going to Canterlot and working within the black market as a rent Witch.

Midnight Dreamer is a quiet mare… who really stares. She is incredibly street wise, strong willed and wise. It seems she always knows what to say however Midnight doesn’t know HOW to say it. Growing up in the military, she has the mouth of a sailor and the attitude to boot if you get on her bad side… and also get some alcohol down her. She’s snippy and will call you on your shit.
